Monster Money Slots – Mac Friendly Slots Game

I’ll admit it, I was a little bit hesitant to try Monster Money slots on my Mac.  No, I’m not afraid of the dark.  And I don’t have an irrational fear of the ‘Boogieman’ either.  I just wasn’t sure how a monster themed slots game would be enjoyable, but boy was I wrong.  Go Casino’s Monster Money has taken monsters, frankensteins, haunted houses, and other ‘scary’ things and put them into a bonus level slots machine that Mac users can play.  And frankly, I was pleasantly surprised at how this slot game made me smile (and yeah, maybe because I hit a couple good wins on the machine).

Everything in the game is related to monsters or other haunted items.  There’s a crazy scientist, some chemistry beakers full of green goo, brain symbols, monster hands (and feet), bolts (like the ones sticking out of Frankenstein’s head), and one of the more important symbols – an electric rod that buzzes and snaps with energy.  There’s also a bonus level where you get taken to a haunted house and you get to choose 5 doors (out of 8 available doors), and each door you open reveals a cash reward.  Of course you’ll need to be playing for real cash in order to get collect real money on the bonus level, but if you’re playing for play money you can still trigger the bonus level – you just don’t get rewarded with real cash.

Monster Money Slots – How to Play

The first thing you’ll need to know about Monster Money is that it’s a 5-reel, 25 payline slots game that Mac users are able to play at Go Casino. I’m a big fan of Go Casino (review Go Casino here) – they have a huge selection of Mac slots as well as many other popular casino games that Mac users can play, such as blackjack, video poker, roulette, slots tournaments, and many more.  When playing Monster Money slots, you can play for real money or for play money.  While playing for real cash, you can wager anywhere from 1 cent all the way up to $250 per spin.  There is an autospin feature as well, which I’m sure some players make good use of (you can set it to spin a certain number of times, or until it hit’s a special payout or bonus level…and you can always stop the autospin feature).

I played Monster Money for the maximum number of lines (25), as I hate seeing wins on the screen that I don’t get to collect.  It only took me a couple spins to start enjoying the monster theme, and I think Go Casino did a really good job making this a fun slots game.  While there are monsters, they’ve all got a somewhat comical charm to them – they’re not particularly scary to look at.  Everything seems to have a greenish color in Monster Money slots, from the monsters to the green goo to the spin button.  It’s all in keeping with the monster theme – Go Casino has done a good job of that.

Hitting spin, I watched as many different haunted items spun around the reels.  I’m pretty sure I laughed the first time I saw cartoonish bones sticking out of monster’s hands and feet.  The wacko scientist character symbol in the slots game has a crooked/demented smile on his face, and he let’s out a cackling laugh when you find him on a payline (you can also turn the sounds of the game completely off if you prefer).  The electric rods snap and crackle with energy, and they also happen to be the scatter symbol for the game – meaning they don’t have to be on the same line on the slot for you to win.  Not only are the electric rods scatter symbols, they also trigger the bonus level when you find three of them on the slot screen.

Payouts and Bonus Level in Monster Money

The bonus level is triggered by having three or more of the lightning/electricity rod symbols appear on the slot.  When this happens you’ll be taken to a haunted house to select 5 doors, each revealing a cash prize.  The first time I played the bonus level I almost didn’t notice the two doors on the sides of the room, so be aware that not all the doors are completely obvious.  Anyways, I’ve made out well playing the bonus level.  It’s not an extremely complex bonus level, but it does pay out nicely.

The most valuable symbol in Monster Money Mac slots is the crazy scientist symbol.  He’s wearing a crooked smile and he cackles with a freaky laugh when you get paid out for two or more of them appearing, and five of these symbols on the screen pays out very nicely at 5000:1. The crazy scientist is also a wild or substitute symbol in this slots game, representing any other symbol you might need to make a particular payout.  The next highest paying symbol is the haunted house, and it pays out at 2000:1.  Then there’s the (rather cartoony) monster symbol at 1000:1.  Then all the other symbols pay out at 400:1 or lower.

Monster Money Slots Game in Review

While this online slot machine might not sound appealing at first, it provides a great game that’s lots of fun.  I have logged on to play Monster Money slots a few times now, and I get a kick out of the animated characters and sounds of the game.  It probably has more appeal around certain times of the year like Halloween, considering it’s a monster themed slots game.  That being said, it shouldn’t be restricted to just certain seasons, as many people enjoy watching horror movies all year round…so playing monster slots shouldn’t be any different.  Don’t be afraid to try this Mac slots game out, and certainly don’t be afraid of the monsters.  It’s more of a comical/cartoony monster slots game than a horror themed slot machine, so I’d happily recommend trying Monster Money slots on your Mac at Go Casino.
